Privacy policy

LHTSOFT PDF is designed so that the selected document is processed in your browser. It is not sent to our servers for PDF conversion or editing. The website server still receives ordinary requests for the website and resources. Google AdSense display advertising is optional and disabled until the site operator configures approved publisher IDs and enables it. When enabled, Google ad scripts may collect information about browser activity, cookies and device identifiers under Google policies; applicable consent mechanisms must be configured before enabling ads. Optional cloud integration sends OAuth requests and selected PDF bytes directly to the chosen provider only after you request it; it does not send documents to LHTSOFT.

How it works

1. By default, PDF files are processed in memory and not saved persistently by the editor.
2. Optional Local draft recovery saves one unencrypted PDF in this browser profile only after you enable it. Other users of this profile may be able to access it; do not enable on a shared device.
3. Local recovery uses IndexedDB for the PDF and localStorage for consent, limits stored PDFs to 64 MB, expires drafts after seven days, and offers Disable and erase local recovery. Optional Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive transfers connect this browser directly to the selected provider only when you choose a cloud action; LHTSOFT does not receive your PDF. Provider privacy policies apply.
4. When AdSense is enabled, the separate Advertisement area may load third-party Google content. Browser privacy controls, ad blockers and any required consent choices affect ad serving. The editor never intentionally provides PDF bytes to an advertising endpoint.
5. Cloud OAuth access tokens are held in temporary browser memory and are not deliberately stored by LHTSOFT PDF; disconnect or close the tab to forget them. Save copy is an explicit direct upload to the provider, never an automatic cloud backup, and does not overwrite the original file. Storage may be cleared by your browser; download your edited PDF as a separate local file.

Beta release: features are introduced only after validation. General-purpose existing PDF text replacement, certified signatures, office document conversion and guaranteed irreversible redaction are not supported. The editor has narrowly limited experimental text replacement. Keep a backup of your originals.
